Jun 13: New Forest as a filming location

I've mentioned various filming locations so far, and will continue to share more as the year progresses.

The next location to feature on the blog is the New Forest. There is dedicated blog for visitors, but also aimed at the film industry to try to attract them to film within the region: which is a National Park.

A million possibilities; one unique place.

This is going to be used as part of the unit I am developing around film and geography. I will share this around Easter time, to coincide with my GA Presidential lecture at the GA Conference.

There is a database of filming locations within the park.

Several areas of the UK have established services like this. I'll be sharing others as I go, as they will be referenced in the teaching resource.
