Aftershock is a new Netflix series which covers the events which happened on Mount Everest following the Nepal Earthquake in 2015.

This series, placed in the docuseries genre, has been produced for three seasons, and was directed by British filmmaker Ali Lambert.

The trailer for the series, which is based on a conversation with 25 Earthquake survivors during the Corona pandemic, appears emotional and dramatic. Puja Pant, a filmmaker and women’s rights campaigner, is the documentary’s Nepali producer.

Bishnu Kalpit and Bikil Santhama handled the film’s cinematography, with all of the technicians being Nepalis. Footage from the earthquake has been shared. “We also built a studio and filmed it,” Nirmatri Pant explained.

Filming was conducted in Kathmandu, Langtang, and the Everest region. The first season of the docuseries will be available on Netflix the day following Dashain Tika, on Asoj 20th (October 6).

“Survivors’ firsthand accounts and actual footage fuel this emotional docuseries about the deadly 2015 earthquake that shook Nepal,” the description of the show read.

Nearly 10,000 people lost their lives in the powerful earthquakes that occurred on 12th and 29th of Baisakh, 2072, and millions of houses were damaged.
