Feb 20: Iceland - a popular film location
Iceland has been the location for a great many films. As the pandemic has gone through a number of phases, some schools have been able to return this half term for the first time and it's been good to see some of the images from these field trips being shared on Twitter.
Here's a sample to get you started, of movies and major TV series which have been filmed at least partly in Iceland.
Feel free to add some other ideas as comments below.

- Game of Thrones
- Interstellar
- Noah
- Star Trek: 'Into Darkness'
- Star Wars: Rogue One
The black sand beach is a popular choice for filming in particular.
What other films set in Iceland can you think of?
Films I watched today:
Robin and Marian (1976) dir. Richard Lester
This is a bitter sweet version of the Robin Hood legend. Some great performances from Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn and particularly Nicol Williamson as Little John, and Robert Shaw.
