Feb 26: Screen Yorkshire

ScreenYorkshire is one of several websites which has been created for a particular geographical area / county in order to serve as a one-stop-shop for film companies who may want to identify filming locations and source technical support, extras, funding etc. 

There are many places in Yorkshire which have appeared numerous times on screen, and other areas which have become synonymous with particular films (or long running TV series)

The area around Haworth, for example is 'Bronte country'.

The blog will include reference to some more of these locations.

Roma (2018) dir. Alfonso Cuaron

A Netflix film which gained numerous Oscar nominations and other awards. The story of a maid with a family which has its own secrets and tensions, but then finds herself pregnant. Filmed in black and white, and a spectacular film with amazing cinematography.
