Sep 6: Geographies of Film

Landscape and place are key elements of many films. These have been researched by academics and film scholars.

The taste of cinema blog has shared a selection of films where landscape could be thought of as a character in the film. In the new Jordan Peele film NOPE, the valley in which the film takes place is certainly important, as well as one particular storm cloud.

This blog has featured a range of academic articles so far this year, and this one is another important one, involving Stuart Aitken who has written a great deal about the discipline.
