Sep 8: HM Queen Elizabeth II

The news came out when I returned from school today that Queen Elizabeth II had passed away.

She has been portrayed in a number of movies, and also been the subject of others.

Helen Mirren portrayed her in 'The Queen' and the recent film 'Spencer' also featured Her Majesty.

This Mashable posts lists some of the occasions where the Queen appeared in movies.

One recent film on Talking Pictures TV was about some children who are determined to see the Coronation, so they run away from home in Dorset. It's called John and Julie, and was made in 1955.

The trailer is completely at odds with the mood of the actual film...
