Where Eagles Dare (1968) dir. Brian G Hulton

A classic war film featuring a raid on a hilltop fortress. There are some good chase scenes and also tense moments in the cable cars. The snowy landscape is a real winner as well, in the Bavarian Alps.

An all-star cast as well. Lots of explosions.

There's also an Iron Maiden song which references the action in the film.

There are many films on over the Christmas period that one finds oneself watching...

Today was another lazy day.

Ended the day with a fairly terrible horror film which I'd never heard of before and which had a very weak plot, terrible dialogue and effects.

I hope there's a decent film on tomorrow. That would be a bad way to end the film viewing year.
